IZZY MICHELL

I’m a graduate student at Furman University and Miami Add Design graduating with a Masters of Art in Strategic Design. I have a passion for design, ceramics, and jewelry. I consistently focuses on growing and adding further layers of personalization and dedication to my art.

I have worn jewelry since I can remember. I would wear my great grandmother and mother’s rings and necklaces, when they would let me that is, when I was old enough they started getting me my own jewelry so I would stop stealing theirs. My first “real” piece of jewelry was an emerald earring and ring set that my mother gave me. I wore them proudly. From then on jewelry became part of my everyday life.

Jewelry is an extension of the body and a form of self expression. I aim to create jewelry that is timeless and can be worn as a fashion statement or everyday wear; however one chooses too. I personally don’t take my jewelry off so it truly is a part of me and my identity.
